Welcome to Vibrant Vida Counseling + Consulting’s EMDR Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant process. I’m thrilled you’ve decided to take this next step in your EMDR career!

The information below will guide you on my approach to the EMDR Certification Consultation and Consultant-in-Training Consultation process. It will point you toward the necessary resources to grow in your overall EMDR competency and confidence.

NOTE: You must provide the document of completion from your basic EMDR Training before beginning or signing up for consultation.

The process.

  • Your EMDR-approved consultant will be Vianca Anderson. You must complete at least 5 hours to get a memo to EMDRIA documenting your consultation hours.

  • Consultation is typically offered at different times. Speak with Vianca before signing your agreement to ensure your schedules correspond. Often, you will be put with one (1) other person seeking certification to broaden your experience. Certification is more intense than introductory training consultation, so be prepared for more in-depth looks at your work in each phase by submitting audio or video recordings. The no-show fee is $50.

  • You will be expected to come prepared with case summaries and audio or video recordings for the clients you present, along with points of discussion and questions you have about your work. Bring your most complex cases. Please use provided examples of case summaries as guides.

  • It is helpful but not mandatory to provide your case summaries and audio recordings a minimum of 48 hours in advance. This allows Vianca to be better prepared and you to get the most out of your consultation. If you are technologically challenged, please email Vianca a test audio file before your first consultation to work out any bugs. The best audio file formats are .mp3 and m4a.

  • Consultations will take place on Doxy, a HIPAA-compliant teleconferencing platform.

  • Below are the certification consultation fees:

    • $135 pays for 1 hour of consultation

    • $650 ($130 per hour) pays for 5 hours of consultation

    • $1250 ($125 per hour) pays for 10 hours of consultation

    • $2400 ($120 per hour) pays for 20 hours of consultation

  • Specific forms you will need to submit before beginning include:

    • Current Professional License Validation

    • Signed Certification or Consultant in Training Contract Agreement

    • Initial EMDR Training Document of Completion from EMDRIA Approved Training

    • Signed Certification Criteria Acknowledgment Form

    After your initial contact, Vianca will provide the Contract Agreement and Certification Criteria Acknowledgement form. To get started, you must provide your Current Professional License and EMDR Training Document of Completion.

  • Your first meeting with Vianca will not be a consultation but rather a review of your documents and goals of becoming an EMDR Certified Therapist. This is to ensure you agree with the expectations and desired outcomes.

  • A la Carte EMDR consultations are available on a case-by-case basis. The fees for A la Carte consultations are:

    • $60 for 30 minutes of consultation

    • $120 for 1 hour of consultation
