Therapeutic modalities.

  • EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach intended to treat psychological disorders, alleviate human suffering, and assist individuals in fulfilling their potential for development while minimizing risks of harm in its application. For the client, EMDR treatment aims to achieve comprehensive treatment safely, effectively, and efficiently while maintaining client stability. For more information, visit www.emdria.org.

  • IFS  is a transformative tool that conceives every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self. We believe the mind is naturally multiple, which is good. Just like family members, inner parts are forced from their valuable states into extreme roles within us. Self is in everyone. It can’t be damaged. It knows how to heal. IFS  is frequently used as an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS  creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a standard talk therapy (psychotherapy). CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking to view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them more effectively. CBT can be a beneficial tool ― either alone or in combination with other therapies ― in treating mental health disorders, such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or an eating disorder. However, not everyone who benefits from CBT has a mental health condition. CBT can be an effective tool to help anyone learn how to manage stressful life situations better.

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma and their parents or caregivers. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple, and complex trauma experiences. For more information, visit www.tfcbt.org.

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy found to be effective in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With PTSD, you may find yourself thinking very differently about yourself and your environment. These thoughts lead to negative emotions, such as fear, anxiety, guilt, and anger, and can halt your recovery. CPT focuses on teaching skills that will help you challenge these negative thoughts and gain control over their impact on your life.
